Modeling is a crucial activity within NEESPI to study processes, to simulate interactions within the various components of the climate system and to generate predictions. The NASA NEESPI data system aims at serving and interacting with the modeling in various ways. While a wealth of modeling activities exists in the NEEPIS study area, the current focus is on integrating datasets from climate and ecosystem modeling activities. At the same time, the NASA NEESPI data center is serving modeling efforts that take advantage of the data analysis and data delivery systems that facilitate the use of a wide range of data and products.
